Quality construction

I make every pair of World's Best Baby Booties with great attention to detail.  My goal is to ensure that your baby will wear through the fabric long before the booties begin to come apart.

Every step of the process shows deliberation.  I select fabrics that are high quality - thicker fleece, cozier flannel.  Sometimes I use decorator fabrics because I love their soft touch combined with strength.  I then machine wash and dry the fabric.  Not only does pre-washing prevent the booties shrinking or shedding in your laundry, it helps me be certain that all of my fabrics pass the washability test.  I use hypoallergenic soap so there's nothing harsh to irritate your baby's skin.

The ties are two pieces, although they give
the illusion of being one that runs through the casing around the back of
the foot. The ends of the ties that are inside the booties are fused to
prevent fraying. Then the ties are sewn into the side seam with three rows
of stitching for reinforcement. The casing on the back of the bootie holds
a little piece of elastic - the magic piece that makes it so an adult can
get the booties on and off without needing to untie them every time.

After I attach the upper to the sole, I sew around it a second time using a zig-zag stitch to prevent fraying.  And where the ankle seam comes in, I reinforce it with two extra rows of stitching.
